We saved hundreds of dollars they would have spent on unnecessary repairs. Unfortunately we called another company first to inspect and clean our rental condominium’s fireplace. They came out and told us that we needed several costly repairs before they could clean it properly. Then rescheduled for a later, more expensive appointment. We decided to get a second opinion before spending well over $1000 and are glad we did! All About Chimney was fast, friendly and mot of all, HONEST! They saved us over 80% on our fireplace repair and cleaning and helped us schedule with our renters to come on a Saturday! We heartily recommend All About Chimney Cleaning & Repair to our family and friends and wrote this for no compensation.

Here are what a few of our past customers have to say about us.
In July, a family of birds decided to make our chimney their new home. As miserable as it was, I was very concerned with the welfare of the small animals and I was pleased to see that Jon with All About Chimney was too He took extra care to remove the birds and then recommended a quality stainless steel cap, so they couldn't return to torment us. If you're looking for an honest, quality, caring company All About Chimney Cleaning & Repair is the right one.

The Good Residence, Mukilteo, Wa
This is Betty Good, she has a story to tell about why a chimney cap is so important for her home. Betty doesn’t use her fireplace much and didn’t really think about the chance of anything living actually getting in her open chimney stack. Until one day in July 2006, she heard some noise coming from the fireplace. She called her family to help her determine what was in her chimney. They tried to get the large crow out but could not.

The police came and tried to help her, and after an hour of wrestling with the damper and the large bird, they gave up too. She called every wildlife expert she could and no one came. Her daughter, worried about her mother not only the bird, called us. She told us the bird had been there for three days already and didn’t thin it would survive much longer. Jon was there within the hour and managed to save the bird in just a few minutes. We then measured her chimney for installation of flue tiles and our stainless steel caps to make sure that nothing will bother her by coming down the chimney flue again. She asked for a senior discount and saved 10% and even baked us cookies she was so happy and the rest of the family too! She is now helping us recommend to all her neighbors in the beautiful Seawatch Area of Mukilteo that you do not wait to protect yourself from unwanted pests “dropping” in on you! Especially big nasty old crows! Thank you Betty we were happy to help!

This is a very expensive home that we recently cleaned three flues in the Laurelhurst neighborhood in Seattle. Although the view was nice it was an extremely tall steep roof.
Our response time for the call was immediate and just what the contractor needed. He was concerned that a mess could be made and we assured him that we avoid messes in ALL our clients’ homes, big or small.
Wow! What a great view! If you like climbing steep roofs the bonus is you get some great viewpoints! However we don’t recommend this for just anyone to try, please let a licensed, bonded and insured professional do it for you! We value your business and want you here to call us next year!

This is a Stainless Steel Liner that was recently replaced from the insert (picture to the left) thru the flue and securely mounted on the exterior chimney. By doing this you can extend the life of your flue without rebuilding your entire chimney!
We re-crowned the top and secured in a new permanent liner so that no moisture will get thru, extending the life of your inset by years. We also added a stainless steel chimney cap that is essential for a longer life of the entire unit.

We have fast, efficient, reliable service that we will stand on! Even if it seems like a tall order. This is the time of year to increase the value of your home while potentially protecting your initial investment. Weather is definitely a factor in doing these jobs and with our short summer season, action now can prevent more damage from occurring later.

This is John. He is smiling because his job site is all cleaned up and his extrememly tall chimneystack has been re-built well within his budget and according to his timeline.
His shows he is smart as well as happy because he is preserving both his flues with our stainless steel chimney caps! This chimney was in very poor repair and could easily been a challenge for anyone that has issues with heights, Not for us!
This re-build was from the roof line up. All the loose brick needed to be removed and replaced. A new flue tile installed with all tuckpointing and grinding as needed. The result is a new straight solid chimney stack! By finishing off with waterproofing and a new cap he has greatly improved the value of his home.
We have scaffolding and all tools needed to get your job done. See here as Jon checks the mortar and climbs the scaffolding to the top.
The end result is a beautiful, safe, functional chimney and another happy customer.

Mydsky Residence, Snohomish, Wa
This house had severe settling damage as well as improper earthquake protection. This resulted in it separating from the main frame and it had the potential for eventually falling over.
Although the color of the additional brick shows a variation, the main concern of the customer was to save the chimney, as much as possible, while making it safe and functional. We were able to preserve the major portion of the pre-existing chimney and save them thousands of dollars, making them very happy!
The older pre-existing brick is still very fire worthy and will now stay standing for generations more to enjoy warm cozy nights by the fire. There is now no separation form the house and all earthquake proofing is securely in place.
